ORIGINAL REPORT: BY REQUEST — This missing person was submitted via our submission form and is being created by user request. Although a police report may not have been published, we’ve been informed that police have been made aware of Jacob (Jay) Hatley’s disappearance.
TOPEKA — The missing’s Mother is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 24 year old Jacob (Jay) Hatley out of the Topeka, Kansas area.
Jacob (Jay) Hatley was last heard from on September 11, 2017.
He got on a train from St. Louis to go visit family in Topeka but did not meet his Aunt upon arrival as arranged. The train first arrived in Kansas City around 9:30 pm and his connection was supposed to leave after about an hour but it was then delayed 30 minutes. At 11:35 there was a charge for Uber on his debit card but Uber will not release any information on his destination. At 1:35 pm on Tuesday, the debit card was used in a failed attempt to withdraw money in Lawrence, Kansas. A police officer reviewed the ATM surveillance footage and did not think it was Jacob but was not able to rule it out. The person had the PIN but there was a hold put on the card when he did not get off the train in Topeka. He has black ink tattoos on his arms, back and chest. He has obvious burn scarring on one of his lower legs.
Jacob is described as:
• GENDER: Male.
• ETHNICITY: White.
• HAIR: Brown.
• EYES: Brown.
• HEIGHT: 5 feet 10 inches.
• WEIGHT: 160 pounds.
• OTHER: Black ink tattoos on his arms, back and chest. He has obvious burn scarring on one of his lower legs.
